Whoa.

That's what I have to say about The Boss turning two. And she did just that today. There is something that happens at year two. Suddenly...they become little people. Bye, bye, baby! Hello, spirited little lady!

Perhaps it's the talking in sentences, the big girl haircut, the ridiculously adorable singing, the asserting of opinions, the mimicking of parents, or the rate at which she learns oh so many things...whatever it is, the package is pretty sweet. Something else happened during year two--we learned to weather those bumps in the road a little easier. We slept! Yes, we slept! We stopped analyzing every.little.thing. We knew it would get better in due time if things got rough, and it did. That's what happens after you have a year under your belt. While I think we've enjoyed every stage, this past year could not have been more enjoyable. There really isn't anything like watching your baby learn and grow.

Year two, in pictures.

Thanks for sharing in my journey, friends. It's been a fun year! Now excuse me, there's a cake to be made for my little lady.

Happy Birthday Boss! Michelle -- she is so beautiful, and I love the things you tell about her. Here's to an even more fun year (is that possible) ahead! (My word verification is "bless" -- I'm taking it as a sign)
